I had the most amazing time photographing Luke and Stef's wedding at The West Mill in Derby! Let me tell you, this venue is like something out of a movie, with its stunning industrial vibe and elegant styling. I was blown away!
Stef's choice of white flowers with lots of greenery was the perfect touch to enhance the venue's aesthetic. It added such a beautiful, natural element to the day. And speaking of the day, it started off with Stef and her bridesmaids getting ready, which was such a fun and heartwarming moment to capture. I could feel the excitement in the air, it was electric!
The ceremony took place on the top floor, led by a registrar. It was such a beautiful, intimate moment as Luke and Stef exchanged their vows and promises to each other. Afterwards, we all headed outside for some celebratory drinks and confetti throwing. The laughter and joy were contagious, and I couldn't help but capture every smile and happy tear.
Now, let's talk about dinner. Oh my goodness, it was served on the lovely second floor and let me tell you, it was a feast fit for royalty! A delicious chicken roast that had everyone's taste buds dancing. I may have snuck a bite or two myself, I couldn't resist!
But the real party kicked off on the first floor in the evening. And boy, was it a party! Thanks to The Face, an incredible acoustic duo, the dance floor was alive with energy all night. I couldn't help but tap my feet and sway to the music while capturing the laughter and wild dance moves.
Now, let's get to the best part - the portraits. Luke and Stef were absolute naturals in front of the camera. We took advantage of the beautiful features of the industrial venue and the picturesque grounds near the water. The resulting photos are simply breathtaking if I do say so myself. I wanted to capture their love story in a cinematic, romantic way while keeping things low-key and comfortable. I wanted these photos to be timeless and true, a testament to their love and happiness on this special day.
